Vintage Colour Old Tuck's Oilette Postcard. 1908. Devon, Cattle Cow. Berry Pomeroy Castle. This Castle, built about 1056, stands on a commanding height, about 9 miles from Torquay, and dominates the landscape with its beautiful ruins. The Castle was struck by lightning in 1685, and finally abandoned to decay. It has a ghost or two of great antiquity.
