Song Thrush. Turdus ericetorum. Described as a conversationalist, it seems to say Be Quick, be quick, Change here, change here, and many variations. Its nest, in hedge or bush, is lined with mud. The eggs, 4 to 5 are a beautiful turquoise blue speckled with black. Eats an enormous amount of snails which it smashes out on its so-called "anvil".
