Robin Bird Erithacus rubecula linnaeus Artist Signed J Bonhote 1937 Old PostcardVintage Old Colour Postcard. Artist Signed Art Drawn. Robin Bird. (Erithacus rubecula). Robin red breast (length 5.75 inches, wing 3 inches) is known and loved in every country home. His gay waistcoat and cheerful audacity brighten many a dull winter's morning. The Robin makes a cosy nest of moss and horse-hair, and the half-dozen pale coloured eggs are hatched some time in April. The birds may rear three broods in a season, but leave before the cold weather, for the redbreasts we see in summer are not the same as those that were with us in winter.Postally Used with Slogan : Post Early in The Day.
