Vintage British Indian Old Postcard. India, Humayun's Tombs, Delhi. The earliest Moghul architecture in India built by his wife Hamida Banu Begum in 1564 A.D. This building stands second only to the Taj in merit. / Commenced by Haji Begum the wife of the Emperor Humayun in 1555 A.D. and completed after 16 years. Round the grave of Humayun are entered the following distinguished dead who belonged to the Moghul dynasty. Headless body of Dara Shikoh, Azam Shab, Jahan Dar Shah, Furrukh Sier, Rafinldarjat, Rafiuddaula each of whom in succession assumed the Imperial dignity. This building is the next to Taj Mahal Agra in beauty.
