He was son of Casimiro Bigua, successor and brother of the Cacique Papon from 1892 until his death in 1905, where he spent his last days in the Indian reservation Lefty River Valley, near Punta Arenas in southern Chile.Background: El cacique Mulato, cuyo nombre indígena era Chumjaluwün, fue conocido como el último gran jefe de los tehuelches de la Patagonia. Era hijo de Casimiro Biguá, sucesor y hermano del Cacique Papón desde 1892 hasta su muerte en 1905, donde paso sus últimos días en la reserva indígena Valle Río Zurdo, cerca de Punta Arenas en el sur de Chile.
