Colombo Harbour is protected by a magnificent breakwater, whose foundation stone was laid by the King in 1875. At the end of the breakwater is a small lighthouse, while the high one is to the south, and situated near the residence of the Governor, the entrance to which is seen on the left of the picture. There are interesting Dutch remains near the Customs House.
