AW Bridgman Old Tuck's Postcard Wool Bridge and Manor House, Woolbridge Cow 7755

Vintage Art Drawn Colour Old Postcard. Tuck's Oilette, Picturesque Counties - Dorset No. 7755. Wool Bridge and Manor House. River Scene, Cattle, Cow. Panorama. Artist Signed by A.W. Bridgman.

Woolbridge House, now a farm, was at one time the manor-house residence of the D'Urbervilles, and has been made famous by its mention in Thomas Hardy's novel, "Tess of the D'Urbervilles." Readers of this book will easily be able to identify it with the "Wellbridge" wherein Tess spent her unhappy honeymoon with Angel Clare. The bridge which spans the Frome in the immediate vicinity is an interesting and famous structure.
