USA Old PPC FLUME GORGE Franconia Notch WHITE MOUNTAINS
Early Coloured US Picture Postcard, rocks, The Flume Gorge, Franconia Notch, White Mountains, N. H. USA. The Flume Gorge, with its sheet perpendicular walls rising 50 to 75 feet in height is approximately 400 feet long and was worn out of solid rock by the turbulent mountain stream which plunges thru it. Accessible by foot trail or bus from U.S. Route 3, its unusual natural beauty is witnessed yearly by thousands of tourists.
