The Jungfraujoch is a col or saddle between the M�nch and the Jungfrau in the Bernese Alps, on the boundary between the cantons of Bern and Valais. Strictly, the Jungfraujoch is the lowest point on the mountain ridge between M�nch and Jungfrau, at 3 471 m. It is just above this location that the mountain station of the Jungfraubahn is located, which at an elevation of 3454 m is the highest railway station in Europe. The Jungfraujoch is often called the "Top of Europe" in tourist literature.

Märjelensee) (2,350 meters/7,711 feet above sea level). To the west rises Aletschhorn (4,195 meters/13,763 feet), which was first climbed in 1859. The Rhône River flows along the southern flank of the mountains.
