Vintage Old Card, Novelty, WW1 Woven in Silk. Miss Edith Cavell, Nurse and Humanitarian, 2 Dogs. Dog. Lady Woman. With Printed Signature Autograph at lower right. I have seen death so often that it is not strange or painful to me. I am glad to die for my Country. Brussels. October 12th 1915.

Background: Edith Louisa Cavell (1865–1915) was a British World War I nurse and humanitarian. She is celebrated for helping hundreds of Allied soldiers escape from German-occupied Belgium. Her subsequent execution received significant sympathetic press coverage worldwide.
