Background: Suakin is a port city in eastern Sudan, located on the coast of the Red Sea. It is an ancient city with a long history, and was an important trade center in the past. Suakin was once the main port for the Kingdom of Ethiopia, and later served as a hub for trade between Africa and the Middle East. Today, it is a small town with a population of around 20,000 people, and is known for its coral reefs and beaches.
