Navaho Indian Family & Hogan, Native American Red Indians Baby 1910 Old Postcard

Vintage Colour Picture Postcard, Ethnic Life. Native North American Red Indians. Navaho Indian Family & Hogan, Man, Woma holding a Baby. Little Boy and Girl. Children. / The Navaho Indian reservatioin is reached from Gallup, Holbrook and Winslow. These Indians are called bedouins of the desert, from the fact that they never settle for any length of time in one village, but live in Hogans or temporary structures and travel from place to place. The Navahos are noted for their blankets, and they are also expert silversmiths, a very unusual occupation for Indians. They are great hosemen and on the reservation raise numbers of sheep and goats.
