Vintage Old Tuck's Oilette Art Artist Drawn Postcard. Malta Maltese. The Interior of St. John's Church. This church is in Strada San Giovanni, and is the principal religious edifice in Malta. It was built by the Knights of St. John, and before the altar is a throne for King and Bishop. It suffered greatly at the hands of the French in 1798, who robbed the interior of many celebrated paintings and valuable antiquities.
