Vintage Tuck's Oilette Art Drawn Postcard. Lake Loch Lomond. Tarbet. Panorama. From an original painting by H.B. Wimbush. Artist Signed. Tarbet is the place for steamboat passengers on Loch Lomond to disembark for Arrochar and the head of Loch Long. The dividing isthmus is very narrow, only 1 1/2 miles, and from the fact the village derives its name, "tairbeart" meaning "a place across which boats can be drawn".
