Vintage Art Artist Drawn Colour Postcard. Tuck's Oilette. Italy. Rom Rome Roma. Ruins of the Temple of Castor and Pollux. There is a legend that the Romans defeated the Latins at the battle of Lake Regillus by the help of the Great Twin Brethren, the demigods Castor and Pollux. Grateful Rome twelve years later (484 B.C.) raised this temple to them. Three splendid columns of Parian marble. 47 1/2 feet high, are all that are left of it now.
