India Old Tuck's Postcard Hooseinabad Lucknow, Tomb of Muhammad Ali Shah, Bridge

Vintage Tuck's Oilette Art Artist Drawn Old Post Card. India. Palace, The Hooseinabad, Lucknow. Lake. Bridge. Large Aloe Vera.

The Hooseinabad Imambara. Built by Mohammed Ali Shah, Third King of Oudh 1873. Florid and debased in style, it was built in 1837 as the tomb of Muhammad Ali Shah. Inside, mirrors of festooned chandeliers make a gaudy display, in the midst of which is the silver throne of the King.

The Hooseinabad, Lucknow. The tomb of Muhammad Ali Shah, who erected it for himself in 1837. The florid excess of stucco ornamentation is but one sign of the decay of Indian architecture in modern days.
