Vintage British Indian Old Postcard. India. Quwat Ul Islam Masjid and Iron Pillar. Great Arch and Iron Pillar, Qutb Minar, Delhi. The central arch of the mosque erected by Kutubuddin in the 11th century. The Iron Pillar, 22 feet high, welded over 1500 years ago from malleable iron, was once held to go down to the centre of the world, it was erected by Raja Dhawa and its history is recorded in a deeply cut Sanskrit inscription of 6 lines. 319 A.D. Quwat Ul Islam Masjid built by Qutubuddin Aibak in about 1200 A.D.
