Vintage Tuck's Oilette At Artist Drawn British Indian Old Picture Post Card, India, The Church, CAWNPORE. Kānpur. Postally Used in 1905 with King Edward 7th 1a stamp, tied Bangalore.

Built on the site made memorable by the weary defence made by the garrison under General Wheeler during the Mutiny. The garrison surrendered under promise of a safe passage to Allahabad, and were murdered by the river side as they attempted to embark in boats provided by the rebels.
