Vintage Art Artist Drawn Colour Tuck's OILETTE Picture Postcard. Cairo, Street scene. Ethnic Life. Chickens. Birds. Native Poultry Sellers. / They have come in from the country, perhaps from Chenoboskion or Gizeh, both headquarters of poultry-fatteners, and have come into the European quarter to sell their fat birds. One of the women has two pigeons in her hands, and the larger basket is full of chickens, which, though they flourish here, are not indigenous to Egypt, as is the goose.
