Ceylon 1945 Old Tuck's Oilette Postcard Colombo, Native Climbing for Cocoa-Nuts

Vintage Colour Artist Drawn Tuck's Oilette Old Postcard. Ceylan Sri Lanka Ceylon. Ethnic Life. Colombo, Native Climber Climbing for Cocoa-Nuts Coconuts, Palm Trees. Postally Used in 1945 with Great Britain King George 6th 2d stamp. Bells and Derby postmark.

Climbing for Cocoanuts. The finest plantations of cocoanut palms lie along the shore in a belt less than 15 miles wide, and here we find the native huts, for, according to Sinhalese lore, this friendly palm flourishes only within sound of human voices and in sight of the sea.
