Vintage Old Colour Tuck's Art Artist Drawn Postcard. Africa, Gold Coast. Ghana. Anamabo Fort. Fortress. Native Boats, Canoes. Animals grazing. Panorama. General View Anamabo Fort - A 17th century fort, built by "The Royal African Company" and lying some 12 miles east of Cape Coast Castle. It was heavily besieged by the Ashanti armies that overran the country in about 1825. Fort Nassau, near Moree, Ghana, was the first fort that the Dutch established on what would become the Dutch Gold Coast.

Vintage Old Artist Signed Colour Tuck's Oilette Art drawn Postcard. c.1920 Africa, Gold Coast. Ghana. Artist Signed by E. Cheesman. A Fulani Village on Hill, near the Sea. This village is part of Cape Coast and is an interesting example of the manner in which the desert tribes from the Sahara import their own style of building when settled some hundreds of miles from their natural habitat. Fula people, Fulani, Fulbe, Fulan: Fula, Fulaw, are an ethnic group spread over many countries, predominantly in West Africa, but found also in Central Africa and Sudanese North Africa. African countries where they are present include Mauritania, Ghana, Senegal, Guinea, the Gambia, Mali, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Benin, Burkina Faso, Guinea Bissau, Cameroon, Côte d'Ivoire, Niger, Chad, Togo, the Central African Republic, Liberia, and as far as Sudan and Egypt in the East. Fula people form a minority in every country they inhabit.
