Broadstairs Kent REPRO Postcard Bleak House Boathouse Boat House and Whale BonesModern reproduction of an Old Judges' Postcard, Bygone Times of Broadstairs. The boat house is over 300 years old. The figurehead of Hercules came from a brig that came ashore 16th January 1844, with that of the Highland Chief, coming from a barque of that name, lost on the Goodwins 12th February, 1869. The 2 rib bones are from a 70-ton whale washed ashore 2nd February 1762. Overlooking the harbour is the battlemented Bleak House, favorite seaside home of Charles Dickens.
