Built in the 17th Century - this quaint octagonal building was where - in the old days - the famous Dunster Cloths were sold. It is lighted by 8 dormer windows and a lantern at the top - The wide over-hanging eaves give added character to the picturesque old building. / The Yarn Market, Dunster stands at the north end of High Street, an octagonal building, a curious structure of wood covered with slates with eight dormer windows. One of its Timbers was pierced by a cannon ball when the Castle was besieged in 1646. Restored in 1647, date upon weather vane. Dunsters or Kerseymere cloths were sold here.
