Parr. / At York Minster, perhaps the most impressive of England's ecclesiastical treasures, was celebrated in 1927, the 1300th anniversary of Christian history on its site. Among many architectural features are the windows of medieval glass including the famous Five Sisters in the north transept. The Chapter House contains a pre-Conquest copy of the four Gospels.
