When the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, he directed organization of the Nation's manpower & resources for global war.
Chiang Kai Shek, Chinese statesman and military leader, joined Dr. Sun Yat-sen's United Revolutionary League, forerunner of the Kuomintang (KMT). In 1942 he became the supreme commander of the Allied forces in the China theater.
