Vintage Colour Art Drawn Postcard. Wastwater and Great Gt. Gable. Lake District. The wildest of the Lakes and grouped at its head, the highest and most rugged of our mountains. Yewbarrow (2058 ft), Gt. Gable (2949 ft), Scawfell (3162 ft) and the Screes (1983 ft). From an original water colour drawing / painting by E.H. Thompson, A Lakeland Artist.

Background: Wast Water or Wastwater is a lake in the Lake District National Park, England. The lake is approximately 4.6 kilometres (almost 3 miles) long and 600 metres (nearly 0.5 miles) wide, and is located in the Wasdale valley. It is the deepest lake in England at 79 metres (258 feet), and is owned by the National Trust.
