USA Illinois 1943 Postcard CHICAGO Buckingham FountainOld PPC, Fountains, Buckingham Fountain in Grant Park, Chicago. The world's largest fountain of its type. A gift of Miss Kate Buckingham in memory of her brother Clarence Buckingham. Patterned to some extent after the Latona Fountain in the garden of Versailles. France, but more than twice as large. Embellished with aquatic motifs, and in the centre are eight colossal sea horses.Series No: 369
