Background: Szklarska Poręba, formerly Schreiberhau, Germany, is a ski resort town in southwestern Poland, and one of the most important centres of mountain hiking and skiing. Szklarska Poręba belongs to the Dolnoslaskie voivodship, a resort with increasing importance for tourism as an alternative to the Alps.
