QE2 3d Largs is a burgh in North Ayrshire, Scotland about 33 miles from Glasgow. It is a popular seaside resort with a pier. The town was the site of the Battle of Largs in 1263, in which a Scottish army attacked the Norse armies of King Magnus III of Mann and the Isles and his ally King Haakon IV of Norway, in a confrontation that led to the death of King Haakon on Orkney soon after. As a result of the battle the Hebrides came under Scottish rule as did the Isle of Man in 1266 after the demise of King Magnus III. Published by Valentine's Silveresque

Sent from Perthshire Pitlochry to Yorks. QE2 3d Pitlochry (Baile Chloichridh in Gaelic) is a burgh in Perthshire, Scotland, lying on the River Tummel within the council area of Perth and Kinross. It is largely a twentieth century town, having grown as a tourist resort, in particular a centre for hill walking. The town has two whisky distilleries (Edradour, which is billed as the smallest distillery in Scotland, and Blair Athol), a small theatre, a small brewery (Moulin Brewery), and a hydroelectric power station. The dam which provides the power is known for its 311 metre long salmon ladder; fish can be viewed leaping from weir to weir within the ladder, via an underwater viewing station or via video from inside the visitor centre.
