Background: London Bridge was built in 1831, at cost of 2 million pounds, designed by John Rennie. The lamp posts on the bridge were cast from French cannon taken in the Peninsular War. In the late '60s, it was sinking into the clay of London, England's Thames River, due to its heavy weight. London officials had to replace the bridge. Enter McCulloch purchased the falling down bridge for $2.4 million. At the time it was the highest price ever paid for an antique. It is now in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, USA.
