London 1935 Postcard ST. PAUL'S CATHEDRAL Choir ReredosOld Vintage Real Photo Picture Postcard, London. St. Paul's Cathedral Interior. The Choir and Reredos. / The Cathedral was designed by Sir Christopher Wren, was begun in 1675 and completed in 1710. It stands on the site of the older Cathedral, destroyed in the Great Fire of 1666. The Reredos is of white Parian Marble having on either side an open colonnade, with small doorways giving access to the apse behind. The Choir Stalls, and also the Organ case, where carved by Grinling Gibbons.Publisher: Valentine
