Locomotive Train ENGINE Postcard Neasden Shed LNER 6167

Early B/W Postcard. Train. Railway. Vintage Steam L.N.E.R. LNER (Great Central) 4-6-0 No. 6167. One of the six LORD FARINGDON class of 4-cylinder 4-6-0's, this engine was photographed at Neasden shed in 1930. A sister engine was re-built with two cylinders, and another experiment was the fitting of Caprotti valve gear. They were a comparatively short-lived class, in most cases rather less than thirty years.
