Lancashire Vintage Artist Drawn Colour Old Tuck's Oilette Postcard. Lancaster Castle, Judges Entrance. Pigeons. Birds. Trees. / It was built soon after the Norman Conquest, on the site of the Roman Castrum, from which the town takes its name. The buildings during the past century have been enlarged and modernized and are now used as Assize Courts and the County Gaol. The picture shows the Judges' Entrance to the main building and Courts.
