Wast Water or Wastwater is a lake in the Lake District National Park, England. The lake is approximately 4.6 kilometres (almost 3 miles) long and 600 metres (nearly 0.5 miles) wide, and is located in the Wasdale valley. It is the deepest lake in England at 79 metres (258 feet), and is owned by the National Trust.

Great Langdale is a valley running from the town of Ambleside to the highest peaks of the Lake District in the county of Cumbria, in the northwest of the England. It is often simply refered to as Langdale, the epithet Great distinguishing it from the neighbouring Little Langdale.

Bassenthwaite Lake is located in the Lake District in England. It is the only lake in the Lake District with 'lake' in its name, all the others being waters (e.g. Derwent Water, Ullswater) or meres (e.g. Thirlmere, Buttermere). It is fed by, and drains into, the River Derwent. The lake lies at the foot of Skiddaw and Dodd Wood, near the town of Keswick.
