Background: Snaefell (Manx: Sniaul) is the highest mountain on the Isle of Man. It is said that on a clear day 6 kingdoms can be seen from the top (England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, the Isle of Man and the Kingdom of Heaven itself). The Snaefell Mountain Railway runs the 4 miles from Laxey to the summit.
