Early British Indian Picture Post card. The Diwan-i-Am in Delhi Fort. The Public Court. Built by the Emperor Shah Jahan between 1638 A.D. and 1648 A.D. The public Audience Hall. In the centre of the back wall the peacock throne used to stand, below this is the marble platform on with the Wazir took his place and from which he would hand up petitions to the King.
