Vintage British Indian Old Postcard, India, The Marble throne in Diwan-i-am, Fort Delhi, where sit the Mughal Emperors in open Court. Built by the Emperor Shah Jahan between 1638 A.D. and 1648 A.D. The public Audience Hall. In the centre of the back wall the peacock throne used to stand, below this is the marble platform on with the Wazir took his place and from which he would hand up petitions to the King.
