Sher Shah Mosque in Old Fort Delhi was built in 1541 A.D. by king Sher Shah along other buildings of much interest in the old Fort, such as Shermundel etc. / The Kutab Minar Gate, Delhi (India). Commenced by Kutab Uddin Albak in 1200 and completed by his successor Shamsuddin Altamash in 1220 A.D. It is 238 feet one inch in height, 47' - 3' in diameter, and an upward diameter of 9 feet. It contains 379 stairs. Engraved in the Kuff character are carved inscriptions on all the stories.Publisher: H. A. Mirza & Sons Delhi
