This gives a fine view of the choir and its beautiful reredos of Parian marble, also some of Salviati's great mosaics in the spandrels of the dome. The pulpit of coloured marbles is very beautiful, and was erected to the memory of Captain Fitzgerald. The vaultings and walls of the choir are in glass mosaic by Richmond.

These dangerous rocks, which stand out from shore nearly due east from St. Keverne, are a standing peril to sailing vessels. On this very reef, in May, 1855, the emigrant ship JOHN was wrecked, with a total loss of 200 lives.
