The Lake in St. Stephen's Green Park. / St Stephen's Green is a popular rendezvous on the south side of the river, which, since its re-arrangement by Lord Ardilaun in 1880, has become a veritable garden of delight, with charming and shady walks varied by pleasant pools and fountains. It contains a statue of George II, and also Farrell's fine statue of the square's benefactor.
