Card written in Japan Tokyo 12 May 1948. 明初功臣 徐達 少有大志初為郭子興部將後歸太祖從太祖征略四方軍律嚴明.Background: Xu Da (徐達) (1332—1385) was a good friend of the first Ming Emperor, Zhu Yuanzhang, also the father-in-law of the third Ming emperor, the Yongle Emperor. He joined the Red Turban rebels in 1353 and was put under Zhu Yuanzhang's command. He helped the future emperor found the Ming Dynasty.
