Background: Badger, Latin name : MELES TAXUS. An inhabitant of woodland, living in dens or earths lined with grasses. A nocturnal rambler whose food is roots, fruit, rabbits and any small animals it can catch. Does well in captivity and if taken young can be tamed to run at large.
