Mabel Lucie Attwell (1879-1964) is fondly remembered for her illustrations of the books Alice in Wonderland, The Water Babies and particularly Peter Pan. Her hugely popular style and prolific output, seen on cards, posters, calenders, figurines and wall plaques, was such that by the 1920s, there was hardly a British household without "something Attwell".
